Question by mr_self_destruct79: Science Fiction Movie Project Plot Help? I'm taking a humanities class and have a project due next week. I have two other members in my group, but they are not contributing at all. I was hoping I could bounce some ideas off some of you people here and see what you think and maybe add a little more. The theme my team is assigned is space travel. This is the assignment: You are a sci-fi filmmaker hard at work on your new project. You have to present a review of your creative work to Spielberg. You only have 15 min. The Guidelines for your presentation are as follows: A: The film 1. Brief Description 2. Plot 3. Unique Features/Outcomes I need to do these three before I can do the rest. This is what I have. Please feel free to make any more suggestions: A recent discovery of a potential habitable planet 10 light years away has given hope to continuation of the human race. Predictions of the destruction of the Earth in 2012 is not widely believed, but recent events of several natural disasters worldwide have raised fears of the inevitable end. New technology has developed a way to travel at 1/2 the speed of light. Although this has technology not been fully tested, and can only be used to transport up to 100 people, it appear s to be the only hope to get to "Earth 2.0" But who will be the chosen 100? Will they be able to leave before total destruction, and even if they start their mission, will they even make it to the new planet. Best answer:

Nice I like it! Yeah you can include heaps of characters from differing backgrounds trying to prove their worth so they can get on that ship so they can survive (high class influential people vs lower class people wanting to survive). You can show current events on Earth (and made up ones) that are happening that are causing people to panic (global wars, natural disasters, huge civil unrest etc). Many stories of people, many events, many possible endings too. Very nice!
