Question by : What would be a good career for someone who want to "travel the world"? well im 16 so i have a lot of time to decide what i want but i have never been out of the country and i think when i graduate from college i wanna go see other countrys i think i want to train to be a nurse or something and then join the peace corp. But i know i want to be in the medical field. I dont wanna travel th& #101; world forever i eventually wanna settle down. i just dont really know what i want Best answer:

As you said, you're 16 and have plenty of time. Almost everyone wants to travel the world. Most people simply do it on their own, and any career that pays enough will allow you to take vacations. Go where you want. If you want to be a nurse, that's awesome.Do it. Nursing is always needed everywhere, and if you wanted to do this in connection with travel it would probably work. But if the medical field is where you want to be, don't waste your time on something else (like taking hospitality courses in order to become more qualified to work on a cruise ship). Pursue what you want. You can travel at any time. Just save up your money. Even before you start your career, you can backpack or Couchsurf and do it relatively cheap. When you start working, you can travel at a higher comfort level if you want. Have you read Three Cups of Tea? It's about a guy, who is a nurse, who traveled the world and wound up being inspired to build schools in India and Pakistan. He basically worked half a year as a nurse and quit his job to go and build the schools. He'd always come back to the States and find another job - in that profession there hasn't been much of a job shortage of late.

Hi. You can be a traveling nurse a nd earn tons of income in this kind of career. Travel nurses are very few and they are really in demand today. You are still young and this kind of career is perfect for you. You will have the chance to travel the world while helping other people.
